Freya started at markthree media in 2011. Freya joined us as a Researcher working on CBBC’s The Racing Set, Newsround and various films for BBC Inside Out before moving up to her current role as Producer and co-owner of the company.
Freya works across production and development and has contributed to the development of some of markthree’s key commissions including an hour long documentary for BBC Three’s disability season and a documentary for CBBC’s prestigious My Life series and an hour long documentary for Channel 5’s Extraordinary People strand.
As well as television production, Freya has an interest in radio production and was a core member of the team for our Radio Academy Award winning Radio 1 documentary, Tempted by Teacher.
A keen shooter, Freya has filmed many of our CBBC commissions as well as DV Directing The Boy With No Brain for Channel 5.
Our last My Life commission took Freya to America to DV Direct, and she has since produced the 2nd series of Twin It To Win It,, as well as DV Directing our two new My Life commissions. Freya is now producing a Radio 1 documentary and a new BBC Three commission.
Freya was chosen as one of The Edinburgh International TV Festival’s Ones to Watch in 2015 and was awarded Mentor Of The Year.
Now that markthree has a Sheffield base, Freya runs markthree London.
